tolerance for intolerance? (Thomas Steinfeld)

"Whoever insists on tolerance, the tolerance can not stop when someone else does not want to be tolerant." ( Thomas Steinfeld sueddeutsche.de, 01/14/2010) .
Tolerance is a principle of interaction that makes the intolerable region. She accepts this asymmetry.
Tolerant must accept not all, to avoid the accusation of lack of consistency. There are limits to tolerance. Are you in need of justification and capable. Tolerance does not mean surrender. Tolerance requires consideration, where, why and how far one is tolerant - and if not, there are priorities because of other kinds.
tolerance may lay claim to reciprocity. By what right could someone claim tolerance when it is unwilling to exercise it as well?
Intolerant is who tolerated nothing, not who tolerated all unfounded.

Internet as a reflection of thinking? (Martin Emmer)

"It is from what they think their users" (Martin Emmer Focus No. 52, 19.12.2009, p. 118).
A mere reflection of thought, the Internet is not, but an instrument with which and through which influenced the thinking, controlled and made to be recyclable. Of significance are the interactions between technical structure and consciousness of users - including reactions of the product as a reified thinking to producers and users.
